2011 Paulo Bea Sagrantino Secco di Montelfalco
Quintessential artisanal producer that dates back centuries lies in the heart of Montefalco, Tuscany. The Bea family prioritizes natural winemaking and raises and produces most of what they consume on a daily basis. His philosophy is 'Nature should be observed, heard, [and] understood, not dominated.'
His wines are serious and wine geeks hold them in high regard, but they also have a huge breadth of appeal! This is the wine that put the grape Sagrantino on the map and is a sought after wine in Bea's lineup. The dark fruit is followed by some savory spice, is juicy but balanced by some robust tannin. The wine begs to be paired with a juicy steak!
