2018 Pax Trousseau Gris
Dry farmed in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma, Pax produces some world class wines! He utilizes traditional winemaking techniques and each wine showcases the true personality of the vineyard sites. Their approach to winemaking is pure and unadulterated and he uses no sulfur.
Trousseau Gris is native to the Jura region in France where it is made into a slightly colored wine. The wine appears to be a rosé but it is not. Due to some skin contact the wine is a peachy hue and has more complexity than you might think! The wine is bright and fresh with notes of orange peel and lemon followed by a mineral backbone. Will pair with a medley of foods ranging from shellfish to meats and cheeses. Very cool wine made in limited quantities!
